Coates set up the Bet365 Foundation in August 2012. In February 2024 it was renamed Denise Coates Foundation. It is a registered charity under English law and it donated 100 million to twenty UK charities as of 2014. In 2024 the charity donated 1 million to help families in Ukraine.

The highest paid director of Bet365 Group, believed to be founder Denise Coates, earned a salary of 213.4m in the year to March 2024. She was also entitled to at least half of 100m in dividends, despite a fall in profits. Bet365 did not immediately respond to the BBC's request for comment.
